Dr. Dooley grew up in the northern suburbs of Chicago before earning a B.S. in Animal Science from the University of Vermont and his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating, he moved to Seattle, where he completed a rotating internship at the Veterinary Specialty Center of Seattle. He then pursued a surgical internship at Seattle Veterinary Specialists, BluePearl, where he refined his surgical skills and gained extensive experience performing a wide range of orthopedic, soft tissue, and laparoscopic procedures.

Surgery has always been a passion for Dr. Dooley and was a key motivation for opening his own veterinary practice designed to provide advanced surgical care at a price that is competitive, fair, and accessible. Dr. Dooley now lives just around the corner with his wife, Leslie, and their three rescue dogs: Fletcher (a Coonhound-Shepherd mix), Louie (a wire-haired Lab mix), and Becky (a German Wirehaired Pointer). In his free time, he enjoys the mountains of Colorado through snowboarding, hiking, and golfing. He loves that he lives near so many excellent breweries and restaurants in the greater Denver area.
